Can you hear
me? Oh my gosh... I said, "Can you hear me?" CAN YOU HEAR ME!?!?
Ok. Now back to this post.
Beats by Dr. Dre is a brand of awesome headphones!
They represent all styles, generations, and walks of music. They are universal,
and, nowadays, almost everyone has a pair. I would like to add that their
innovative look, sound, and design appeals to musicians and wannabes. Their
(normally) red chord that connects from your phones to the music device is not
flat and two-part like other brands. It is circular, and it doesn't tangle.
Amazing, huh?
First off, there are lots of different styles
suited to the type of music lover you happen to be, the type of music you enjoy
listening to, or when/where you are listening. You have your Executive Beats
that are designed for you Brad Paisley lovers. That's right. You know who you
are. Country cowboys: who square dance to their songs.
Next up we have your Pro Beats that are designed
for musical engineers. The people that are most likely infatuated with mixes
and the raw power of the music. Pretty deep, huh? Like $400 deep into your
pockets?
Don't like all the hype around a downpayment on
your music? You can go a little cheeper with the Studios. These are the ones
that come in every and all types of colors. From lime green to light blue, and
don't forget about the ever classy black and white. These are the ones that are
most popular. Most professional athletes have these, but Dr. Dre said that his
intentions were to give the listener the "music that the artist intended
for ears to hear."
Are you by any chance a DJ? Well if you are, you're
in luck because world renowned DJ, David Guetta, teamed up with Dr. Dre to
create Mixr Beats just for turntable junkies like yourself. The new design is
powerful and lightweight with hinges just for listening with one ear.
And now we come to the kind I have: Solo Beats.
Now before
you make fun of me, let me explain. At first I thought that paying anything
more than $10 for a pair of JVC earphones (notice I didn't say headphones) was
just ridiculous... Until I tried Beats on at Best Buy. I fell so hard in love
that my birthday money account broke, but I didn't care because I was smart
about it. Instead of paying out the wazoo for Studios or Pros (that I would no
doubt choose the wrong color in), I got the Solos ($200), because they have the
exact same style and look. They are just smaller... like small enough to fit in
a purse. But that is ok, because I get the best of both worlds: the look, the
sound, and the recovering pocketbook. (CAUTION: Solos are ON the ear, not over
the ear like the Beats above.)
Haven't found the one that screams you yet? Stay
with me. I promise Dr. Dre has something for everyone... even you, you
Indie-band groupie, you!
Now we break into the actual earbuds. The ones that
are small, but feisty. Why get this style if you can get a $25 pair of
SkullCandy, you may ask? Because, even though they are the simple design, they
have a complex beat! And it is boomin'. You can get these in a few different
colors/styles such as: Tour Beats, Power Beats (hangs on and around ear,
recommended for the athlete that works out, endorsed by LeBron James), Heart
Beats (for you Little Monsters/Lady GaGa fans), and Ur Beats (for the reckless,
dangerous headbanger, priced the lowest of them all at $99).
If you completely fall in love with this brand,
then you have more Dr. Dre to love. He has a computer out with built in Beat
speakers (like the best Youtube video just got a whole lot better). He also has
a bunch of speakers and docks that you can bump it up to another level and
share your sound with the whole room!
Good luck in your quest for powerful music! (685)
